What to bring on a charter in Cabo San Lucas
Pack light, confirm the essentials and leave room for a great day on the water.

A little preparation makes a private boat day easier for everyone. What you need depends on the boat, the duration and whether you are planning fishing, a sunset cruise or a relaxed outing with your group. This checklist is a starting point; the boarding instructions and inclusions confirmed for your reservation are the ones to follow.
1. Start with your booking confirmation
Before choosing what goes in your bag, save your confirmation, Javier’s contact number and the exact meeting point. Check the selected boat, date, departure time, duration and number of guests. Boarding arrangements can differ between vessels, so do not use the location or schedule from someone else’s trip.
For Baja Therapy, the published meeting point is Dock E. Javier confirms your check-in time and boarding instructions with the reservation. Other boats may have different arrangements; ask for those details before setting off for the marina.
2. Keep clothing simple
Choose comfortable clothing for the activity you have booked. If your outing includes a permitted swimming stop, pack swimwear, a towel and a change of clothes unless the operator has confirmed these are provided. A light layer can be useful for the return journey or an evening outing. Ask the crew which footwear is suitable on the selected boat.
Keep sunglasses, a secure hat and sun protection accessible rather than buried under other belongings. Follow the operator’s instructions about products used onboard. A compact bag is easier to manage at boarding than several bulky pieces of luggage.
3. Protect the belongings you really need
Bring a charged phone so you can reach Javier and find your meeting point. A protective waterproof pouch is a practical option for keeping it away from splashes. Carry only the valuables you need for the day and ask where bags can be stored once aboard.
Check whether the operator needs identification or other documents for your activity. Ask what form is required rather than assuming that a photo, copy or original is always necessary. Tell Javier in advance about any practical needs that could affect boarding or the experience.
4. Confirm food, drinks and equipment
Inclusions vary between boats and packages. Baja Therapy includes snorkeling gear, a water mat, a water slide, ice, water and soft drinks. Food, snacks and open bar are quoted separately. These Baja Therapy inclusions do not automatically apply to a fishing trip or another yacht.
Before bringing your own food or beverages, confirm what the selected operator permits. Share dietary preferences and special requests before payment so the quote can describe the agreed arrangements. For fishing, ask whether licenses, bait and any other extras are included in your specific package.
5. Check payments and your final plan
Save the agreed total, deposit and remaining balance with your booking details. For Baja Therapy, the reservation deposit is included in the published total and the balance is paid upon arrival by cash, card or bank transfer. Confirm payment arrangements separately for other vessels.
Read the cancellation policy and any operator terms disclosed for your reservation. Before leaving for the marina, check Javier’s latest instructions and allow for the arrival time in your confirmation. If your group’s date, size or requests have changed, tell him before boarding day so the arrangements can be checked.
