Javier Moch Martínez
Oceanographer-Fisherman
Javier is an oceanographer whose experience with fishing trips began in La Paz in 2017. He holds a master's degree in Applied Sciences from James Cook University in Australia.
After working as an aquaculture project consultant in Malta, he was invited to join an aquaculture startup in La Paz. He spent 10 years working on this sustainable marine farming project, which is now a successful company farming kampachi (amberjack).
At Baja Blue Experiences, he helps you choose your ocean experience and coordinates your reservation with the operators, based on your group, date and preferences, ensuring you will have a memorable day out at sea.

Guest cancellations: the Baja Blue reservation deposit is refundable with at least 48 hours’ notice; with less than 48 hours, it is non-refundable. Separate operator payments follow the operator’s terms.

Frequently asked questions
Is the price per person?
No. The base rate is $750 USD for the private boat for 3 hours, for a group of up to 18 people. Optional extras are quoted separately.
How do I reserve?
Message Javier on WhatsApp with your preferred date, group size and extras. He will confirm availability, your quote, the meeting point and reservation steps.
Are food and drinks included?
Water, soft drinks and ice are included. Food, snacks and open bar are optional extras with an additional cost.
What happens in bad weather?
If the operator or Baja Blue cancels because of unsafe conditions or a port closure, your Baja Blue reservation deposit is refunded unless you choose an agreed alternative. Separate operator payments follow the operator’s disclosed terms. If the trip can proceed and you choose to cancel, the guest cancellation policy applies.
Is there a bathroom on board?
Bathroom facilities depend on the vessel. Tell Javier which experience you want so he can confirm the facilities with the operator before you reserve.
Can I bring my own food and drinks?
You are welcome to bring food and drinks. Try to avoid glass bottles; aluminum and plastic containers are safer. Please check what is included with each trip. On Baja Therapy, water, soft drinks and ice are included. Food, snacks and open bar can be quoted separately.
Is there a minimum age?
Tell us the ages of all children when requesting your quote. The operator will confirm any minimum age, activity restrictions and suitable safety equipment before the booking is confirmed.
How are gratuities handled?
Ask Javier to confirm whether your quote includes any gratuity or service charge and how a tip can be given to the crew. We will clarify this before payment.
How many hours are included?
Baja Therapy starts at $750 USD per group for 3 hours, with a 3-hour minimum. Additional time is $250 USD per hour, subject to availability. Other experiences have their own durations, confirmed in your quote.
